I am seeking a Graduate Electrical or Electronics Engineer position in any engineering company in South Africa with a competitive salary. I felt that Mechatronics Engineering would be an ideal way to combine my interests in Electrical, Electronics and fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering and as a result develop my problem solving skill and working with people, and this interest was confirmed following my contract work as a Trainee Engineer. Although I am a Mechatronics Engineering Graduate, I am highly numerate and computer-literate, as demonstrated by my result while at university, my dual engineering skills and the fact that all my recent work experience has involved electrical, electronics and instrumentation work. As a temporary vacation student at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station I needed to conduct a research and lodge enquiries with overseas power utilities and provide technical report of my findings in a short time in order to enable Koeberg to provide NOSA with the quality technical information to be exempted from doing the inspection. Studying professional communication as one of my courses has helped me to develop communication and presentation skills. At this stage my main long-term interest is in to gain a position at an junior level in an engineering company and I believe that through proper training my engineering skills will be enhanced.
