  • Main purpose of the job To promote and sell Company world class products with service and skill within the competitive market place by setting and meeting targets. Qualifications, Experience, Attributes Matric Grade 12 Preferably tertiary qualifications in business management, sales and marketing Minimum 3 years’ experience in local roofing industry Minimum 1 years’ experience in interpreting and reading architectural and structural drawings Minimum 1 years’ experience using Microsoft packages Syspro 7 experience and knowledge Minimum 5 years experience in a management position. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible minimize Credit notes Maximize profitability & achieve budget Conduct and respond to ongoing analysis of the financial situation and market share Maintain the operations existing margin percentages Provide accurate reports, material forecasts and budgets Submit monthly Reports, Identify performance variations and specify action plans to resolve variables from planned performance Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency Evaluate data pertaining to costs to plan budgets Prepare reports required by general manager Develop and implement cost saving initiatives to improve commercial performance within the company Reviews expenses Ensure that subordinates are productive Put systems in place and manage systems going forward Ensure that staffing requirements are met Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of workers in departments The general leadership & management of subordinate staff in accordance with company procedures and values, with an emphasis on retention and personnel development Plan and direct staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control subordinates. Responsible for monitoring the performance of subordinates by holding regular performance appraisals and performance management. Oversee training of staff members. Ensure that legal obligations are met. Customer service and relations. Update unit strategic plans quarterly. Analyze the market and plan and implement changes to align to the market changes. Provide leadership to business to drive continuous improvement and strategic direction. Promote company products at all times. Knowledge of prices in the market place. Ensures consistent profitable growth in sales revenues through effective planning and management of internal sales administrator and team. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short – and long – term sales and earnings. Management of stock counts weekly and audits with finance and stock / inventory control system is in place Manage stock losses, wastage and variances Production Planning – communicate daily with subordinates to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained Ensure that group targets with regards to all stock are met Uphold the company’s code of ethics Direct and coordinate activities of departments concerned with the production, administration and sales Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and improvement Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, other key players, and staff members as and when necessary Prepare operational or risk reports for management analysis Builds company image by enforcing ethical business practices Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees. Liaise and assist planning departments to ensure that all jobs are effectively planned and tracked Ensure that all subordinate staff are briefed on the requirements of relevant SH&E regulations and client requirements Ensure safety levels are optimal and good housekeeping in factory Aggressively drive process improvements and inventory management control Any other ad-hoc duties
