    Strategic direction
    •Work with the Executive team to develop, implement and continuously review organizational strategic direction based on the organizations’ macro- and micro environment
    •Continuously review the organizations’ planning and budgeting processes to identify areas of improvement to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency
    Marketing Department direction and management
    •Build a creative, integrated, multi-channel marketing department that builds awareness and reputation, focusing on maximizing return on marketing investments
    •Develop and continuously improve the department’s strategic decision-making, prioritizing and governance process
    •Ensure product and marketing strategies and associated sales support tools are aligned with organizational strategic direction
    •Oversee the establishment and implementation of strategic and tactical communication plans developed to capitalize on market opportunities for new and existing product portfolios
    •Manage marketing recruiting and budget for all staffing and resources
    •Identify and develop solutions for areas of process improvement, i.e. forecasting, planning, reporting, sales and customer analysis, etc.
    •Research, develop and implement departmental cost saving initiative to maximize marketing budgets
    •Maintain knowledge of industry and marketing trends, developments and best practices
    •Manage, motivate and mentor a team of highly skilled marketing professionals
    •Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with organizational (corporate) strategy
    •Oversee the development and execution of an integrated public relations campaign to establish the organization as a thought leader and primary source of healthcare related information relevant to its focused treatment categories amongst healthcare professionals and consumers
    •Oversee the management of direct to consumer marketing platforms (digital and social media) to enhance the organizations’ general corporate brand equity
    •Share spokesperson responsibilities for the company in all relevant media – print, radio and TV
    Sales Department liaison
    •Manages the delivery of two annual conferences and two cycle briefs for the Sales Department, working closely with the Sales Executive to ensure that sales staff are appropriately motivated and directed to achieve targeted results
    •Work closely with the Sales Executive and Access Manager to align access strategies with organizational strategic direction
    •Collaborate with the Sales Executive to determine focus brands based on potential and profitability
    Business Development & Scientific Affairs liaison
    •Collaborate with Business Development to research, analyses and decide on future opportunities in both existing and new treatment categories
    •Work with Scientific Affairs Executive to strategically align Marketing and Scientific Affairs to establish and uphold a collaborative working relationship between the two departments to ultimately improve both departments’ efficiencies
    Logistics and Procurement liaison
    •Contribute to all divisional monthly forecasting decisions
    •Work with Logistics to continuously review the organizations’ forecasting processes to ensure improvements in stockholding efficiencies

    •Minimum of 10 years industry experience of which at least 5 years in the generic environment
    •Minimum of 5 years product management experience
    •Minimum of 5 years marketing management experience
    •A B Pharm degree or other relevant qualification, and/or university degree in business management
    •Strong knowledge of generic pharmaceutical market, industry trends, competitor landscape and marketing strategies, concepts and practices
    •Financial management, monitoring and budgeting
    •Strong project management and performance measurement skills
    •Highly computer literate and numerate
    •Public speaking experience
    •Is a mature, seasoned and proactive leader
    •Is perceived as a credible, knowledgeable and trusted resource
    •Ability to partner effectively with all lines of business locally and interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders on a local, regional and global level
