    Procurement Vendor Analyst - Law Firm
    The employer is a well-established and highly recognised leading global LAW FIRM based in Sandton – CBD, head office based in the UK, with over 40 offices in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and the USA
    The Commercial Operations Analyst will support the Commercial Operations Manager and be part of a global team that will provide a central point for the ordering of goods and services and the payment of invoices.
    The Information Technology department is responsible for the high-quality implementation, provision and support of all IT services within the firm. Located in brand new offices in Johannesburg you will be part of their new, state-of-the-art Global Business Service Centre and join a team dedicated to providing the highest levels of service to their 7000+ colleagues globally. The IT team comprises a diverse range of specialists from service desk to engineering and architecture roles. With a strong focus on delivering to our customers’ disparate needs they also operate in an environment of continual improvement. They have ambitious plans for growth and you'll have the opportunity to be exposed to wide-ranging technologies on a truly global scale.
    The successful candidate must have:
    • Matric
    • Degree/ diploma or equivalent
    • Studying toward Procurement Qualification – desirable
    • Excellent written and spoken English
    • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • At least 2 years' experience of invoice processing and basic IT commodity procurement
    • At least 2 years' experience of departmental budget administration
    • German language skills - advantageous
    • Experience of electronic payment systems such as Chrome River- advantageous
    • MS Visio Skills- advantageous
    • Experience of managing department headcount- advantageous
    Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
    Commercial Management
    • Manage the headcount spreadsheet and keep structure charts up to
    • date. Publish Monthly to the IT Intranet. Liaise with HR Services to
    • ensure Firm's HR system is updated
    • Maintaining the entries associated to all purchases made throughout the
    • department across various budgeting spreadsheet
    • Managing the department invoice entries within our Chrome River
    • system to ensure suppliers are paid within contract terms
    • Liaising with our finance department to resolve any invoice queries
    Vendor Management
    • Assisting Technology Managers from all global offices with requests they
    • may have relating to spend approval and the procurement of goods and
    • services
    • Be the primary point of contact for the sourcing of quotations for goods
    • and services
    • Placing orders with suppliers as required
    • Maintaining documentation and processes relating to the firms mobile
    • devices
    • Keeping the Contracts Database updated
    General Administration
    • General administration duties such as photocopying and scanning
    • Maintain staff emergency contact list
    General Attributes
    • Excellent time management and ,organisational skills
    • Strong collaboration skills
    • Excellent strategic, detailed analytical, communication, presentation and computer skills are essential; to include analysis of space-related data, ability to perform trending analysis and reporting
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels
    • A willingness to use initiative
    • Show enthusiasm, an ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
    • A collegiate, non-status conscious attitude
