  • Primary Purpose of the Job

    • Develop and implement an integrated employee communication plan in support of the employee engagement strategy
    • Collaborate with Heads of Departments throughout the organisation to understand communication needs and other initiatives and develop a consolidated internal marketing strategy, plan and calendar. Manage execution of all internal marketing campaigns, events and other activities as well as internal communications platforms and budget.
    • Manage employee participation in corporate CSI activities as well as implement employee volunteerism programme.

    Key Performance Areas (KPA’s)

    • Create and manage internal marketing and communications strategy, plan and calendar:
    - Liaise with internal stakeholders (HOD’s) in various departments about key communication needs and consolidate the employee engagement plan into an annual communications calendar
    - Ensure streamlined communications and advise business on timing and platforms to be used for internal communications initiatives
    - Drive implementation and execution according to calendar
    • Facilitate internal marketing campaigns and elements:
    - Brief and manage agencies and suppliers to develop suitable marketing campaigns to meet internal objectives (strategic and operational in nature)
    - Manage and implement internal marketing campaigns with suitable elements to communicate effectively and timeously according to deadlines provided
    • Coordinate and manage all internal events:
    - Brief and manage suppliers, event execution and payments
    • Implement, manage and update internal communications platforms (i.e. intranet, newsletters etc):
    - Research most relevant platforms and advise business on best practice
    - Drive implementation and development of platforms
    - Ensure updated and relevant information and drive usage of internal communications platforms
    • Develop and implement the internal CSI employee volunteerism programme and general employee participation in CSI programmes
    • Ensure effective communication to drive buy-in and support of company strategy, values and brand as well as all operational projects

    The above duties are the main duties required to be successful in this role, however, the employee can be requested to perform other duties and responsibilities from time to time during his/her employment with the company, based on its operational requirements. The job title does not define or restrict the employment relationship and it is required within reason that the employee avail him-/herself to undertake other work at the request of the company.

    Job Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of internal marketing (essential)
    • Knowledge of staff activations (essential)
    • Knowledge of the principles that underpin customer value (essential)
    • Knowledge of online media and social media (desirable)

    Job Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years marketing management experience (managing a portfolio)
    • Exposure to internal marketing would be an advantage

    • Diploma/certificate in marketing or communications (Desirable)
