  • Key Competencies Develop and implement strategic action plans for renewable energy business development for projects and within the Company Group. Ensure and maintain business development and growth via projects and sales in the Renewable Energy Sector. Manage and control existing and new products and solutions applicable to the Renewable Energy industry. Liaise and consult with all existing and new consultants, installers, end users on Renewable Energy product offerings and product specifications from the division Liase and consult with Bidvest Electrical specialized divisions, the Group and other strategic suppliers on any new products or Industry changes. Conduct end user, installers and consultant meetings and presentations on product offerings and solutions Coordinate and prepare technical information for the Industry if required. Interface with Specialized Divisional management, the Group and strategic suppliers on particular Industry requirements for specific products or solutions required in the Industry. Establish and implement divisional policies, goals, objectives, and procedures in sales and marketing of renewable products. Strategic decision making and problem solution by analysing information, products and evaluating results and designs to choose the best products or solutions from the division Direct and coordinate Division financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency Ensure that all business and financial deadlines are met and required reports submitted timeously Review and finalise financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievements and to determine areas needing cost control and business program improvement Communicate with Group Directors, Divisional General Manager, other Division General Managers and Company Regional Managers on Divisional and Group issues Liaise and communicate with internal and external customers, strategic overseas and local suppliers and professional organizations. Manage and control Division Business Development and Brand Management (sales and marketing) Management and control of division purchases (local and overseas) in line with customer demand and within Group company policies Ensure that all Sales / Quality Control / accounting / admin / stores and logistics policies and procedures and systems are properly adhered to Knowledge / Qualifications Must have a tertiary qualification (Preferably an Electrical qualification) A minimum of 4-5 years Renewable Energy Sales and Marketing experience Code 08 Drivers Licence A good understanding of Solar PV design and product selection for Commercial and Residential Installations will be an advantage Must be computer literate Skills Good written and verbal communication skills Strong people skills Strong negotiation skills Meticulous and pay attention to detail Technical skills Proficient leadership, organisational, interpersonal and supervisory skills Resourceful, inventive and self –confident Must be able to multi-task Good training and presentation skills Ability to prioritise and delegate responsibilities Ability to independently resolve conflict
