  • Purpose of the job To provide a professional Health and Safety service to the divisions of Company as well as administrative SHEQ related services. Your job title conveys a generalised indication of your position. Your duties and authorities are as described herein and are binding. It is your responsibility to act and to decide independently within this frame. You are held responsible to inform your superior immediately should your activities deviate strongly from this description. It is your responsibility to ensure that the work environment is risk & hazard free by reporting and recording any safety, health and environmental incidents occurring on site to your superior immediately. It is also your responsibility to identify any unsafe acts and conditions in your area of concern. You must ensure that your subordinates are aware of the hazards & risk and trained to conduct their work in a safe manner by following the safe operating procedures. Qualifications Matric Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety ISO 45001 Skills Microsoft Office First Aider Experience 2-3 years in SHEQ Admin Must have sound knowledge of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 Management Systems Qualification OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 management systems auditing. Incident investigation & Root cause analyses qualification SH&E Legal requirement training Analysis and problem solving People Development Attention to detail Planning and organising Commercial orientation Presentation skills Customer Service Orientation Professional/Technical skills Innovation Resilience Interpersonal Sensitivity Rule orientation Investigative Orientation Strategic Analysis Mechanical reasoning Teamwork Oral Communication Written Communication Conflict Management Confidentiality Motivational Skills Compassion and Empathy Business Acumen Business Environmental Awareness Policy and procedural knowledge Numbers, Analytical Administration Assist in maintaining of the SHEQ management system; Assist with drafting of procedures & policies related to SHEQ management system; Ongoing maintenance and updates to the SHEQ Training Matrix; Assist with arranging and schedule of internal Audits; Assist complete all relevant internal audits; Promote safe work practices and injury prevention activities; SHE Data entry; NCR documentation; Minutes of health and safety / ISO meetings; Perform administrative duties such as typing memos, taking meeting minutes, faxing, photocopying and distributing aforementioned to appropriate individuals. Training Arranging for SHEQ training where necessary; Research safety topics and/or training opportunities as directed by SHEQ Manager. Reports Maintain statistical safety data and trending up to date; Create company SHE data reports; Coordination of annual medicals; Inductions. Incidents Participate in incident investigation reviews and data collection; Assist with site inspections, hazard assessments, meetings, and incident investigations. Specific Role Requirements Ad hoc nationwide travel. Enter manufacturing environment (factory floor) with possible hazardous areas
