  • The incumbent should be in possession of a relevant three year tertiary qualification with a thorough knowledge of all labour legislation. A core focus is to add value and impact through effective implementation and execution of the Human Resource practices and policies The candidate must have:- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English and at least two other SA languages Implement Organisational and HR policies. Assist with drawing up of new policies and reviewing existing policies. Booking of staff training. Drawing up job descriptions Addressing employee grievances Ensuring compliance with Labour Relations/BCEA Record keeping – Recording, maintaining & retrieving employee related information for a variety of purposes. Dealing with external clients i.e. Provident/Pension fund, various medical aids, various unions, etc. includes resignations, retirements, temporary disability, new medical aid memberships, resignations from unions etc. Updating and distributing of leave schedules to managers. Handling all workmen’s compensation queries. Drawing up of all correspondence between the organisation and the employees i.e. Increase letters, Memo’s, changes in policies, counselling letters, etc. Overseeing employee terminations. Conducting interviews for all new positions together with the selected interview panel. Orientation with the new staff member. Dealing with all staff matters. (grievances, queries, assistance with various personal issues, assistance with income tax filing etc) Oversee and manage the performance appraisal process Oversee recruitment, selection and placement and provide support to managers in the recruitment of staff Manage employee development & training and overseeing compilation of the Workplace skill plan, Annual Training Report, Skills Development Plans and Employment Equity plans including discretionary grants Staying abreast with Industry and HR policies, legislation and best practice Ensure that managers and staff are aware of the policies and procedures, and implement them accordingly and consistently Reporting on all HR activities; Monthly, quarterly and annually reporting on all HR activities Assist with other administrative duties.
