    Job Description

    Main Job Responsibilities: Implement SHEQ related legislation Operational Requirements, Group standards related and customer specific related changes in Site specific documents. Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of all relevant company SHEQ work instructions, forms and risk assessments including associated documents and records. Consult, provide and assist the Departments to keep the customer specific files for SHEQ requirements complete and up-to-date including Contractor Files. Ensure that employees and contractors are complying with relevant SHEQ requirements on Site. Co-ordinate SHEQ training including mandatory training and SHEQ induction training for contractors, new employees and visitors. Conducting, surveillance, monthly inspections and audits to verify compliance. Ensure all SHEQ Incidents are reported and records of all activities/incidents on site are kept. Identify Corrective Actions to prevent similar incident from occurring again – repair, replace, remove or retrain/train. Ensure Site Specific Waste Control (including sourcing Environmentally responsible solutions), Environmental Monitoring and verifying that environmental impacts are kept to a minimum. Record SHEQ statistics and report monthly to the SHEQ Manager. Follow up on COID Claims with the relevant people. Qualification and Experience: Grade 12 or equivalent. Specific relevant (SHEQ) training (i.e.SAMTRAC, TQM, etc). Min 3 years experience as a SHEQ Officer. Knowledge of SHEQ ISO Standards and applicable Legislation. Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Hazard identification Risk Assessments (HIRA), Root Cause Analysis and Accident Investigation. Good report writing, communication and relationship building skills. A valid drivers license and reliable transport. Knowledge of SHEQ requirements. Result driven and the ability to manage and analyze. Must be dedicated, organized, passionate and a team player.

    Inherent Requirements
