  • To provide financial and administrative services to ensure that all suppliers are paid timeously.

    Liaise and communicate effectively between customers and suppliers. Supervise, coach and mentor clerks in line with the department’s knowledge transfer strategy.

    Job Requirements:

    Grade 12 with Mathematics as subject
    Financial Management / Accounting Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate advantageous
    Microsoft Office knowledge
    JDE System experience advantageous
    Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in Accounts Payable environment
    Shared service environment experience advantageous
    Supervisory experience advantageous

    Your key duties will be:

    Monthly Reconciliation and administration of accounts
    Attend to all queries in terms of the customer base both external and internal
    Maintain a filing system in accordance with Company standards
    Maintain and manage fixed expense payments lists
    Perform monthly checks and balances as required
    Prepare a cash flow forecast on a daily basis
    Effect payments daily
    Initiate payments voids/voucher reversals
    Ensure that all paperwork and supporting documentation is in order and all payments are supported
    according to the procedures and audit requirements
    Assist Team Lead in supervising and mentoring groups of clerks on a daily basis
    Liaise with clerks, share knowledge and provide coaching as and when required
    Perform checks and apply controls in the team to ensure efficient workflow and minimised risk to
    Participate and/or manage any project that is initiated in AP department whether team or individual input
    is required
    Attend to audit queries when required at year end or at any other time an audit is done
    Provide information as and when required by management, customers, suppliers, colleague’s in team, or
    any other 3rd party
    Attend to emergency request as and when required
    Visit external customers or meet with internal customers as and when required in line with the SSC
    customer service strategy
    Attend to all queries relating to unmatched GRV’s on accounts reconciled
    Ensure authorization compliance as per company procedure
    Perform ad hoc duties as and when required within reasonable job scope
    Salary: Market related
