  • We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Restaurant Manager for this newly established Eat Out Top 20 Boutique restaurant in the heart of Stellenbosch by well-known SA celebrity chef.
    For this HIGH ENERGY and trendy restaurant & craft beer eatery we will need someone with LOTS of PERSONALITY to maintain a service culture and standard for which it is highly regarded.
    The IDEAL candidate must have RESTAURANT Service AND PEOPLE Management experience as well as strong beverage, stock control. POS, BOH and general administration experience.
    This is a very busy operation with a team of 7 FOH staff.
    About the job / job criteria:
    Work with daily bookings, invoices, emails and correspondence
    Staff scheduling and meetings to discuss menu highlights, set up requirements and service standards
    Highly proficient in Point of Sale and Back of House software as well as Excel, Word and Office
    Proven success and abilities in planning, organising and staff management
    Passion for FOOD, WINE and CRAFT BEER
    Experience in procurement / sourcing of hiring of staff and equipment
    Good people skills, resourceful thinker & innovative worker

    We require candidates that are HIGHLY ORGANIZED, DRIVEN and MOTIVATED.
    Bubbly and outgoing personality
    Able to deal with the head chef and kitchen team and liaise with all staff.
    Responsibilities include all ordering, menu suggestions, coordinating of small group functions and daily communication with various suppliers, travel partners etc
