  • Description


  • Key Responsibilities:

    o Operate computers with accounting software to record, store and analyze information.

    o Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.

    o Perform personal bookkeeping services.

    o Verify accuracy of financial or transactional data.

    o Compile data and documentation.

    o Classify, record and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers

    o Debit, credit and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.

    o Prepare trial balances of books.

    o Calculate, prepare and issue bills, invoices, accounts statements and other financial statements according to established procedures.

    o Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.

    o Calculate and prepare checks for utilities, taxes and other payments.

    o Compute deductions for income and social security taxes.

    o Code documents according to company procedures.

    o Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tablets pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profits and losses.

    o Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records

    o Reconcile records of bank transactions.

    o Compare computer printouts to manually maintained journals to determine if they match.

    o Complete and submit statutory returns: tax forms and returns, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution and other government documents.

    o Prepare purchase orders and expense reports.

    o Monitor status of loans and accounts to ensure that payments are up to date.

    o Perform financial calculations such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity and principal.

    o Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones and handling routine correspondence.

    o Compile budget data and documents based on estimated revenues, expenses and previous budgets.

    Requirements:

    3-5 years’ experience
    Grade 12
    Experience in word and excel
    Good organizational skills
    Work Independently
    Experience:

    Prepare books to Trial Balance
    Working experience on QuickBooks
    Assist the auditors with information at financial year end
