  • Description

    The purpose of this role is to implement and support solutions and processes that will improve business efficiency and productivity within the Information Systems (IS) field across the Company.
    • Minimum Qualifications
    o A Relevant Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma
    o A Driver License (Code EB / 08)
    • Minimum Experience
    o 5-8 years relevant working experience including business information management experience in the Information Technology/Business Applications environment
    o Good understanding of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), business process re-engineering and business modelling concepts;
    o Understanding of business processes in the mining industry including best practices, legislation and typical business processes
    • Key Behavioural Competencies
    o Ability to analyse information and asks probing questions to find solutions to problems.
    o Ability to interact with key stakeholders and users.
    o Ability to be target focused and meet deadlines, is punctual and keeps to schedule, is reliable in finishing tasks.
    o Ability to work participatively with others and collaboratively involves others in decision-making.
    o Ability to manage tasks by being organised and methodical; planning activities systematically and setting priorities for tasks
    The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Developing and maintaining a roadmap for continuous improvement within the IS Department.
    • Ensuring implementation and maintenance of standard process solutions, while taking into consideration specific requirements from various departments.
    • Translating business requirements into systems or processes to meet those business requirements.
    • Liaising with specialists to understand technologies available in the market and their application to the business.
    • Maintaining Compliance and Governance across the Business System frameworks, architecture and solutions.
    • Developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with outsourced service providers to ensure effective service delivery to the business.
    • Knowledge sharing by establishing end user groups comprising of key users from each business unit and facilitating the implementation of new technologies.
