  • International IT Outsourcing firm now seeks to dominate the South African market. On the back of multiple global accreditations, industry awards and market dominance in America and Asia, this company is investing heavily in its South African operation.
     
    They experienced double-digit growth in 2013 across South Africa and now seek to become the Number One Information Technology Outsourcing Firm in Africa.  As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for the financial vertical across South Africa. Your target market will be all retail banks in South Africa like Standard Bank.
     
    You will generate new business opportunities across the region working closely with the Managing Director and the Pre Sales team. The successful incumbent will be consummate and credible sales professional, selling IT SERVICES and Enterprise Software Financial solutions, to both existing and new customers.  The Business Development Director will develop new relationships, generate and negotiate new income for the organisation against an agreed annual target. This role is earmarked as a growth role within the business and should grow to a team of 3-4 within the next 18 months.  
     
    Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:  
    Build the organisations market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationship Plan and manage the business portfolio according to an agreed market development strategy Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities
    Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials
    Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; develop and negotiate contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operation Respond to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
    Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
    To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:  
    A business degree/ Technology degree or equivalent qualification Familiar with the purpose and composition of Service Level Agreements Sales and/or Marketing related qualification preferable
    Knowledge of IT Outsourcing specifically IT Solutions like SAP, ORACLE or JD Edwards Knowledge of the Retail vertical
    ONLY CANDIDATES WHO HAVE MANAGED THE FINANCAIL/INSURANCE VERTICALS AND WHO HAVE SOLD TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE
