  • Strategic implementation:
    Supports the finance executive with financial analysis and the business on deciding on new strategies, implementations of
    current strategy and business goals whilst establishing good working relationship with key business stakeholders.
    Operations Finance:
    Ensure adequate level of financial planning is implemented and maintained for the chain responsible for
    Planning for a 12-18 month rolling forecast of a full P&L
    Assist with relevant inputs for Capex planning for the chain
    Assist with explanations on month-end results vs Plan vs Actuals/Rolling forecast
    Pro-actively identifies and works on value-adding projects identified by the Head of FP&A, FD, Operations
    Assist with ROI calculations performed for major investment decisions
    Responsible for sales and margin analysis
    Responsible for the summarisation, analysis and interpretation of external data sources required for financial planning &
    analysis requirements
    Responsible for monthly forecast, forecast for operation and full forecast for the chain
    Assist with the preparation of the budget and a 3 year plan within the Massmart’s required timelines
    Preparation of “trued-up” financial plan as per the Massmart’s required deadlines
    Financial analysis on projects that the team is working on and how these will/ have added value to the business
    Preparation of the budget report for the Finance Director.
    Assist with explanations for internal and external audit when analytical reviews are performed and actuals are compared to budget.
    Perform and manage a detailed budget process for the chain in accordance with business and Group requirements and assist
    with the compilation of 3 year plan in line with the business strategy.
    Team responsibilities and development:
    Lead, support, provide direction, and utalise talent management and performance management processes to manage team.
    Matric certificate
    CA (SA) with 3 to 4 years’ experience OR B.Com degree with at least 5 years’ experience in similar role OR B.Com degree
    and may be studying towards CIMA/CA
    Advanced computer literacy, with excellent MS Excel proficiency
    5 years’ experience in FMCG/merchandising or related industry
    2 -3 years’ experience in management position, including leading teams
    Strong budgeting, forecasting and analysing experience
