Primary Duties And Responsibilities

The Construction Manager will need to oversee the planning, implementation, tracking and closing of a number of projects with specified deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant degree/diploma in constriction management, architecture, engineering or related field

Experience And Knowledge

• 2 years' experience in construction or other relevant fields

• 3 years' experience in a Construction Management role

• Advance knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods

• Knowledge of construction details and relevant rules, regulation and quality standards

• Understanding of all facets of the construction process

• Ability to plan and see the "big picture"

• Excellent time and project management skills

• In depth knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) & Occupation Health and Safety Act (OHSA)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion

• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs

• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with site and safety regulations

• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors

• Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory

• Meet contractual conditions of performance

• Review the work progress on daily basis

• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status

• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones

• Analyze, manage and mitigate risks

• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

• Ensure compliance and accordance to the MHSA and OHSA
