  • Description

  • Cost Controller
    - Act as credit controller and cost accountant
    - Finalise and responsible for monthly sales and cost of sales
    - Analyse gross profits and GP percentages (FOB and freight)
    - Issue debtors statements and follow-up on incoming funds
    - Assist Financial Manager with adhoc duties as and when required
    - Creation of new customer/supplier codes in Pastel as and when required
    - Reviewing of supplier credit application forms as and when required
    - Checking on supplier invoices not exported and why not
    - Control of Stationary, telephone and travel costs
    - Verifying correctness of all supplier documents before processing by bookkeeper
    - Finalise customer statements - monthly
    - Ensure customer invoiced are updated daily
    - Checking job codes
    - Weekly recons

    Experience and Education
    - Matric
    - Degree Accounting
    - 5 years working experience as a Cost Controller/Accountant
    - Problem solver
    - Detail orientated
    - Good communication skills
    - Computer literate - Advanced Excel, Pastel essential
    - Committed willing to work late when required - month end
    - Strong mathematical ability
