    My client is a market leader in the car rental environment based in Isando and seeking a Systems Analyst and Architect manager. We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail, someone who can be persuasive, diplomatic and chart our future into the cloud and beyond. In the company, they have a large legacy that requires consistent care and renewal – the ideal candidate will be able to recognize the business value of changes to systems and will also be able to dream, design, plan and oversee the production of the common vision..
    Recruitment Process for targeted candidates:

    Specific Experience Required
    • Relevant Diploma or Degree in IT / Computer Science / related IT field
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Microsoft centric development environment using C#, Sql Server, MVC, Windows Services, Integration Systems and Team Foundation Server.
    Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)
    • Solution and problem analysis.
    • 5 years + experience in a data warehouse and ETL and SSAS environment
    • Driver’s License
    • Tertiary qualification or computer related courses an advantage

    Knowledge
    • Strong (hands on) design and development and troubleshooting skills in the following areas:
    • Sql Server 2012 – 2016
    o Performance Tuning and troubleshooting
    o Data warehouse theory and design
    o Data Security
    o Complex, distributed integration scenarios
    o External integration systems using SOAP, XML and REST
    • Good C# design knowledge
    • Extensive application and system architecture knowledge
    • Intermediate DBA knowledge
    • To your advantage:
    o Working knowledge of NOSQL stores
    o Sql Server in Azure
    o PostgreSQL
    o Experience in ETL of complex, unstructured data
    • Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS Exposure
    Responsibilities
    • Maintain and communicate current and proposed system road maps
    • Examine existing IT systems and business models
    • Analyse systems requirements based on functional specifications
    • Liaising extensively with external or internal clients to determine system changes
    • Mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems;
    • Understanding software development lifecycle;
    • Translating client requirements into highly specified technical briefs;
    • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability;
    • Conducting requirements analysis and preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement systems;
    • Producing project feasibility reports;
    • Presenting proposals to clients;
    • Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction;
    • Drawing up, supervising and documenting testing schedules for complete systems;
    • Overseeing implementation of new systems to ensure successful integration into the current software landscape
    • Planning and working flexibly to deadlines;
    • Keep up to date with technical and industry developments.
    • Collaborate with and assist development team to ensure operational data stores are correctly designed to facilitate integration into existing environment
    • Collaborate with Development and BI team to facilitate the provision and improvement of data platforms to business users
    • Design monitoring and telemetry solutions to track the overall health of the production environment
    • Foster close working relations with Production Support Team to ensure high quality services are always available to end users
