  • URGENT REQUIREMENT FOR DIRECTOR OF NURSING - WORK IN QATAR. On behalf of Qatar’s leading healthcare provider Global Medical Recruiting now recruiting international candidates for 3 year contract work in DOHA QATAR. Various healthcare projects and facilities scheduled for opening towards the end of 2016 and the early quarter of 2017. Therefore, we have critical vacancies upcoming that we will need to be filled at the soonest. The medical group is embarking on one of the most exciting and ambitious master facility plans ever seen in international healthcare, with an extensive range of new facilities opening soon or being planned for future years.     3 Year contract (renewable)
    Single and family contracts available.
    Generous Tax free basic salary. Offered according to experience. From 12800 QAR up to 23625QAR per month. 23625 QAR is equal to +/- R85000 South-African Rand / 5300 GBP/ 6200 EUR.
    Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
    Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
    Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
    40 days paid annual vacation days.
    School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children(ages 5- 18) PER child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.
    40-50 days paid annual vacation days.
    End of service award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

    Minimum Requirements
    Masters in Nursing or Midwifery (or field of health practice e.g. Mental Health) or equivalent postgraduate education leading to, or in addition to, a valid nursing license that meets the requirements for licensing in the State of Qatar.
    Minimum of 5 years’ post nursing registration experience.
    Including a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing people.
    Evidence of extensive nurse leadership across specialties.
    Evidence of personally leading change management activities and improvements.
    Evidence of personally leading a patient experience change.
    Demonstrate a quality improvement cycle and the effect on patient care.
    Demonstrates and evidences inter professional working practices that have benefited patient care.
    PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: Valid Nursing License from the Country of Origin.
    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English - Oral and Written.

    Job Summary
    The Director of Nursing (DoN) is responsible for the clinical leadership aspects of a defined group of clinical departments/units to include organizing, developing, directing, and assuring the delivery of cost effective, quality patient care. The DoN ensures that patient care on the unit(s)/ clinical area(s) is performed in accordance with established corporate wide policies and procedures, nursing standards, the Code of Professional Behaviour and Ethics for Nurses and Midwives.
    Common Responsibilities
    This job description should be read in conjunction with the Registered Nurse/Midwife Scope of Practice, the Competency Framework for the Management Track, Code of Leadership Behaviors and the Code of Professional Behavior and Ethics for Nurses and Midwives.
    To fulfil the responsibilities above, the Director of Nursing, in collaboration with nursing personnel and members of other disciplines, engages in the following activities:
    Provides skilled safe, holistic and culturally competent, person-centered nursing care to patients, families, community and society, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team irrespective of healthcare settings.
    Participates in nursing and organizational policy formulation and decision-making.
    Facilitates participation of staff in nursing and organizational policy formulation and decision-making.
    Accepts organizational accountability for services provided to recipients.
    Evaluates the quality and appropriateness of care.
    Provides guidance for and supervision of personnel accountable to the Director of Nursing.
    Accepts accountability for own actions and decision-making and for the related outcome.
    Delivers nursing care and practices embedding the Registered Nurse/Midwife Scope of Practice as the ethical and professional framework alongside consideration of the socio-cultural needs of patients, families, communities and society.
    Functions at all times in accordance with legislative, regulatory and policy guidelines relevant to registered nursing practice.
