    Minimum BSc Engineering / BEng Qualification in fields of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Metallurgy, plus 5 - 8 years experience as an Engineer in a plant environment, which must have included experience with real-time controllers and plant automation, programming (languages C/C++, Visual Basic, Ladder Logic and Labview preferred), data analysis and general process control. Knowledge of rolling and combustion technologies and relevant process models and theory will be an advantage. Analytical, modelling and mathematical skills are essential, as are high-level problem solving skills, attention to detail and high stress tolerance.
    In this Production Department, you will focus on real-time rolling and combustion system stability and performance in a highly automated plant, and will hold direct responsibility for quality and yield, production efficiency as well as availability improvements. You will be expected to actively monitor, investigate and correct process deviations, facilitate improvement projects relating to Thickness Control Systems (TCS), Level 1, Level 2, Expert System and mechanical systems, as well as optimize control parameters and systems to keep plant at optimal performance. Extraction and analysis of data from information systems are further focuses. The role involves frequent standby on manufacturing process.
