The primary objective of the Global White Lion Protection Trust (WLT) is the conservation and protection of White Lions in the wild of their natural habitat as a capstone for the protection of the entire lion population in the Kruger to Canyon (K2C) Biosphere Region and related ecosystem.

The WLT works closely with local Tsonga and Sepedi Communities for whom the white lion has significant cultural value, encouraging these communities to conserve natural heritage through our cultural and educational programs.   • The Global White Lion Protection Trust (WLT) is a long-standing Non Profit Public Benefits Organisation, committed to the protection of the White Lions and community upliftment. It is a large and very influential network of supporters, worldwide.
    Our organization is expanding, and Linda Tucker is launching the Linda Tucker Foundation (LTF) with its central focus on LionHearted leadership initiatives, all aspects of which require intensive administrative assistance. This includes the coordination of the annual White Lion Leadership Academy, based on a heart-centered training which enables adult leaders from all walks of life to become powerful agents of change; and the StarLion Program, a global eco-educational program for emerging talent in youth leadership. From time to time it may also include campaigns to raise awareness about LionHearted Leadership. Reporting Structure In your capacity as Executive PA you have a formal reporting responsibility to Linda Tucker, CEO of the Linda Tucker Foundation and WLT. In this position, you have both the right and obligation to direct any and all concerns and recommendations regarding your position to the CEO for consultation and remedy.
    Functions and Responsibilities The following functions and responsibilities apply to the job of Executive PA:
    1) Communications Communications at all levels are a critical component of your role and responsibilities. This includes but is not limited to: a) General and ad-hoc written, verbal and electronic communication with the general public, chapter officers, our PR companies and other parties of relevance in other territories
    b) Development of Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in, Newsletters and other social media platforms to help establish the LTF’s international profile; c) liaison with designers management of NAZ Drive archive and LTF IP i) reactivation of personalized fb communications by the CEO in support of LTF strategies d) communications with other parties of a strategic or sensitive nature require prior consultation with the CEO, and the standard disclaimer should be used at all times on email profiles. e) specific communications in support of and as designated by the CEO. f) proofing of documents or other written material g) there may be times when you are required to represent the CEO in communication matters with other parties, as directed by the CEO. h) Part time Project co-ordinator for special projects.
    2) Linda Tucker Foundation’s Leadership Program’s Coordinator General liaison in coordination of the Linda Tucker Foundations’ leadership programs is an important part of your role and responsibilities in assisting the CEO. This may include general coordination of Leadership Academy and liaison with other staff members or chapter officers who are involved in the organisation of this event: Aspects of this may include:
    a. Coordination of the Leadership Academy program in liaison with WLT personnel during the Academy Curriculum on White Lion territories b. Coordination with the officer responsible for participant enrolments c. Liaison with the officer responsible for general administration pertaining to the Leadership Academy and leadership courses d. Administrative assistance with guest and student coordination and liaison, with provision for hosting upon request, including assisting with the set-up and management of events taking place during the Academy and liaising with catering staff. e. Liaison with the officer responsible for general admin such as scheduling of flights, accommodation, car-rentals, event bookings, visitor's bookings and transport, program development and other program related activities, as requested by the CEO f. Communications pertaining to the Academy and its marketing through social media platforms including Facebook and Newsletter content and otherwise. g. Compiling, editing, or drafting leadership related postings and marketing material h. At times, coordination and communication with leadership participants and guest groups including skype and other platforms may be necessary.
    3) Grantwriting/ Fundraising Grant-writing may be a part of the communications function. In such a case adequate time will be made available. All grant applications to be approved in advance by the CEO, and signed off by the CEO. Other fundraising activities may be pursued in close consultation with the CEO. You will be operating out of the WLT’s bushveld headquarters in the Greater Timbavati Region, and considered part of our family or “Inner Circle”. Close-knit community atmosphere The area is a Big Five wildlife area There is a lively social life in the nearby town, with lots of international visitors and students, but being self-sufficient and enjoying time alone with nature would be of great benefit to you.
    Candidate Suitability: • South African citizens only • Minimum 5 years’ experience as Personal Assistant (PA) • Minimum 10 years office administration experience • Experience with Non-profit organisations is an advantage • Experience of communal living / game farm life is ideal • High level of work structure and organisational ability needed • Must be very competent with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MailChimp, Social Media • Fluency in English and conversational Afrikaans essential • Proficiency • Valid driver's license is a requirement.
