    Job Specification
    Company is one of South Africa's ATM deployers, selling and installing convenience ATM�€�s into retail, leisure and hospitality locations countrywide.
    The Company seeks a skilled and talented Finance Executive who wishes to be part of a growing company in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. This role is critical in ensuring optimal functioning and best-practices within the company�€�s finance function. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance Executive�€�s broad responsibilities include ensuring that the financial strategies, systems and management controls support the broader growth goals of the business.
    Responsible for managing the company�€�s finance function which includes overseeing cash flow management, internal management controls, regulatory requirements, statutory reporting, and the management of finance department personnel.
    Provide strategic leadership and be an active member of the company�€�s Executive Committee.
    Prepare accurate and timeous reports including management reports, key financial metrics and budgets.
    Responsible for the company�€�s present and future financial position by making decisions with regards to investing company funds, taking consideration of relevant risks and liquidity.
    Implement and manage the company�€�s corporate governance function, remuneration and audit committee functions.
    Prepare monthly management accounts and other reporting.
    Oversee the capital structure of the company and monitor key ratios on an ongoing basis.
    Prepare business models to evaluate new business opportunities.
    Monitor and perform cost-benefit evaluations for each function of the company with the aim of streamlining operations and cost optimization.
    Stay abreast of relevant exchange rates so that the company can lock in forward cover on a favourable exchange rate for importations.
    Manage the importation and clearance of foreign ATMs and parts purchases, including liaison with foreign ATMs suppliers.
    Identify and report on company inefficiencies and put plans in place to capitalize on this information.
    Economic forecasting and budget preparation.
    Manage relationships with external stakeholders including bankers, financiers, auditors, tax advisors and key suppliers.
    Improve processing efficiencies and drive system improvements and automation.
    Take ownership for the company�€�s treasury function with respect to the company�€�s own funds, merchant�€�s ATM funds and cash-in-transit company floats, including the accurate reconciliation thereof.
    Ensure appropriate Service Level Agreements are in place and adhered to with relevant suppliers.
    Draw advanced conclusions from the analysis of financial indicators and provide regular ongoing feedback to the respective department heads, in a manner that brings about improved business processes and cost efficiencies.
    Negotiate for better payment terms and settlement discounts.
    Consult with tax experts and take ownership for the company�€�s tax positions with regards to VAT, PAYE and Income Tax to ensure compliance and cost efficiencies.
    Corporate Governance and management financial functions.
    Be an active member on the company�€�s Risk and Regulatory Committee.
    Follow-up with department heads on agreed action plans to ensure that improved processes are adopted by the business.
    Assist with the management of the property holding company.
    Regular interaction with departmental managers to implement, resolve and improve operational or accounting issues.
    Communicate concepts in a manner that solicits support and buy-in from the team.
    Coach and motivate department heads to implement improved cost control processes.
    CA (SA) qualification
    Minimum 5 years�€� experience as a Financial Manager in a medium to large sized business.
    Sound and current knowledge of GAAP, Tax law and industry best practice
    Solid reporting and financial modelling experience
    Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous
    Experience in Pastel Evolution is advantageous
    Strong IT systems experience, orientation and capabilities to drive constant improvements
