A media and publishing company in Johannesburg has a vacancy for a Finance Manager.

JOB FUNCTION

To manage the accounting and financial function of the business unit (publication).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• B Comm degree

• Excellent Excel and PASTEL knowledge and working experience

• Knowledge of the media industry an advantage

• Minimum 10 years’ working experience in a senior financial capacity

• Must be flexible with regards to working hours

• Exceptional reconciliation abilities

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work under pressure

• Independent and self-motivated

• Valid driver’s license and own transport

• Some travelling might be required

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, finalize and monitor annual budget in line with the business plan

• Auditing – financial year-end, prepare annual reports and liaise with both internal and external auditors

• Tax submissions

• Provide timeous and accurate financial and statistical reports

• Control and manage cash flow

• Balance sheet reconciliations

• Physical Fixed asset verification

• Set accounting system controls and standards for the Finance department

• Manage financial division

• BEE reporting

• Payroll Administration

Salary is market related.
