  • A Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Officer / Generalist within the Human Resources department. The company is based in Centurion Gauteng.

    Within the framework of the South African HR strategy, the function is responsible for providing administrative support within the Human Resources department with the focus on implementing best practice HR solutions that meet current and future business needs including staffing, training & development, performance management, employees relations within the ambit of local legislation which informs all HR policies, procedures and projects. The role will also focus on Communication & Employee Wellness within the local affiliate.

    Key Functions of this Role will be:

    Talent Acquisition & Development: ensuring the staffing of all positions with the right person, with the right competencies, in the right position; and co-ordinating an efficient on-boarding & induction of new employees

    HR Administration: to ensure up to date HR record keeping, Employee Benefits Administration, collate and submit payroll information, regular updating of HRIS timeous submission of HR Reports; Employment Equity, record, report, source and arrange all training activities, and timeous payment of supplier invoices

    Performance Management: deliver the right tools, processes and development activities that will enhance individual skill, competencies and collective performance

    Employee Relations: provide guidance to line management with respect to employment legislation in order to ensure compliance in effective people management, poor work performance, disciplinary and grievance processes

    Employee Wellness & Communication: promote a good working environment, employee engagement and employee satisfaction through the communication of the company’s messages and sharing of internal information

    The successful candidate will have:

    • 3 year degree / diploma in Human Resources Management

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR generalist role for a multinational company in the pharmaceutical industry

    • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Knowledge of SA Labour Legislation

    • Best practice with regards to recruitment and selection

    • Conflict Management

    • Facilitation Skills

    • Planning & Execution

    • Administrative Skills

    • Effective Communication (Verbal & Written)

    • HRIS - Workday

    • Attention to Detail

    • Working knowledge of Google Suite will be advantageous
