  • Internal Sales Engineer

    Must have Transformers knowledge – based in Germiston

    Formulate quotations and tenders related to all transformer products, services and technologies
    Ensuring that tenders and quotations meet the company and the customer's commercial terms and conditions.
    To assist external and internal customers with technical queries.
    Conduct site inspections if required as part of the tender process and gather all necessary information needed to compile an accurate quotation / tender document.

    Take responsibility for tender documents and quotations within the organization. This will include costing schedules.
    Review customer specifications to ensure compliance (commercially and technically).
    Gather and compile all returnable documentation and attachments required as part of the tender submission.
    Performing cost calculations to determine projects margins and selling price.
    Inter-phasing with customers, branches and business units with regards to related tenders/quotations.
    Formulate the best possible solution to meet customer requirements.
    Ensure all technical literature included as part of the tender document is the most relevant and up to date information.
    Regularly obtain the latest prices for costing purposes from all the group companies / organisation's and preferred suppliers.
    Assist the sales team with technical clarifications and evaluate design complexity for costing purposes.
    Review and interpret SLD for costing purposes.
    Summarize tenders for ease of evaluation.
    Assisting customers with technical queries.
    Provide technical support to customers.
    Regularly following up with clients as to the status / success of tenders/quotations submitted and part take in pre-order negotiations.
    Continuously improve internal systems and procedures.
    Product training (internally & externally)
    Monitor engineering developments and new projects within the engineering and energy sectors.
    Matric with a recognised and relevant technical qualification (S4 or ND. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)
    At least 3-5 years work experience, with experience in a similar sales position being preferred.
    Computer Literacy - Microsoft, Excel, Project.
    SYSPRO and Primavera will be an advantage.
    Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
