  • We are hiring for a stock controller

    Candidate Duties/ Responsibilities:

    1. Inventory Control

    Conduct monthly stock counts of company inventory.

    Monitor levels of all office consumables on a weekly basis (including but not limited to stationery, tea, coffee, sugar, etc.).

    Maintain Asset Register and co-ordinate and oversee the annual stock count.

    Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting/inventory accuracy checks.

    Compare inventories according to the office records.

    Compute figures from records, such as sales orders or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.

    Verify computer data with physical count of stock and adjusts errors.

    Count or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies if there are any.

    Prepare reports on price lists, inventory balance, and shortages.

    Create new product codes and review the old codes.

    Assist with interpreting reports and predicting future sales.

    Process purchase orders in a timeously and accurately as per the company Purchasing Policy.

    Track orders, receive goods, place and organise stock approapriately into inventory.

    Communicate with vendors/suppliers on lead time, backorders, pricing and returns.

    Ensure incoming goods are received and managed appropriately according to company procedure.

    Ensure work orders are correct and fully completed and that all stock has been allocated to the job correctly.

    Produce regular reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.

    2. Infranet

    Prepare stock for delivery of order to supplier and ensure supplier delivers the order.

    Retrieve stock from inventory and record appropriately.

    Should there be no stock in inventory place order from appropriate supplier and comply with company purchasing processed and policy.

    Communicate with supplier for feedback on progress of order.

    Ensure that orders and goods are delivered to the franchisees on time.

    Relaying the merchandising plan to the franchises

    Analysing past sales figures/ trends to anticipate future product needs

    Monitor slow sellers and ensure best sellers meet full potential

    Deciding which products should be stocked for each type and size of franchise

    Monitor stock movement, consider markdowns, transfers, promotions or clear outs

    Monitor Supplier agreement if required.

    Candidate Duties/ Responsibilities:

    Senior certificate (NQF 4)

    A tertiary qualification in Business Administration would be advantageous.

    2 - 5 years similar working experience

    Excellent Organisation Skills

    Communication Skills (both verbal and written)

    Problem Solving Skills

    Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines

    Computer Skills - Microsoft Office, Google Suite experience will be an advantage
