Key Account Manager Freight Forwarding Cape Town

Our client is in transportation and supply chain management and is looking for a Key Account Manager with 5+ years of experience to drive business growth by building client relationships and strategic partnerships within the assigned sector. Must have African Market experience.

Requirements

• Matric with Degree in Logistics or any related discipline would be an advantage

• 5+ years’ experience and proven track record in account management and business development

• Good understanding of logistics, freight or supply chain industries and their capabilities

• Excellent client relationship management skills

• Strong communications skills

• Good interpersonal skills

• Process-orientation, analytical skills and business acumen

• Must be willing to travel on a regular basis to various African Countries

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing accounts to deliver results according to financial performance indicators

• Create and build new business development opportunities

• Identify client requirements and propose internal capabilities and resources to meet the client’s needs

• Participate in the end-to-end request-for-quotation process

• Liaise closely and build strategic relationships with client stakeholders

• Function as the internal client representative and manage client information within the company

• Respond to all client-related matters, from contractual agreements, solution implementation, and service performance, to service enhancements and new business opportunities

• Perform and plan necessary reviews on operations and business

• Create growth plans
