    Job Description
    MSP currently represents a laboratory consulting organisation seeking to employ an experienced and knowledge Laboratory Technologist/Virologist within a management capacity.
    The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing 7 Lab Technologists, provide technical assistance to the Lab Technologists and orientation of new staff, supervision and delegation, and the training and development in Laboratory techniques, diagnostic processes and POCT.
    The following requirements are a prerequisite to be considered for the position:
    • Registered with the HPCSA
    • Must hold a B.Tech/ND in Laboratory/Medical Technology or related scientific disciplines
    • Preferably a Masters or PhD, specialising in infectious diseases/virology
    • Strong public health knowledge and experience, specifically in HIV and TB related functions
    • A minimum of 10 years’ laboratory experience and 3 years in a management role
    • Proven project and operational management experience
    • Preferably experience with PEPFAR/USAID funded organisations
    • Valid drivers’ licence and reliable form of transport
    • Able to travel when required
