    About the company:
    My client based in Cape Town CBD is recruiting for a Learning and Development Officer to deliver and evaluate effective learning solutions for the client, ensuring that all material is up to date, fit for purpose and drives business performance. Dealing with setas.
    Duties Include:
    • First line management decisions during classroom led induction e.g. performance management
    • Understand the business unit priorities and drive the agreed level of return on investment for each intervention delivered. Review training material to ensure it is fit for purpose and compliant; conducting robust learning needs analysis to determine amends or new learning solution
    • Occasional representation of L&D at unit operational meetings e.g. Client Action Team meetings with other stakeholders, where client strategy is the key focus
    • Deliver effective learning solutions that embrace individual learning styles to drive the performance improvement of the business units and segments within the client
    • Act as an ambassador of the client and the L&D function within your segment area attending project, operational and client meetings when required
    • Obtain and develop an ongoing commercial awareness of the client’s client contracts and performance within your segment
    • Regularly review scorecards/KPI’s, ensuring learning solutions are focused on driving maximum business performance
    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the client area(s) of those assigned
    • Maintain and develop a catalogue of blended learning resources that drive the client’s operational strategic goals, customer/client requirements and business change. Ensuring that all content is up to date and accurate. Design and updating of new material at unit and segment level to drive performance improvement and talent development
    • Manage a group of c.15 delegates in a classroom environment such as induction and upskill sessions, ensuring that they are motivated, engaged, behave to the required standards and receive the appropriate training solutions
    • Within the classroom environment manage day to day people issues and resolve where possible. Liaising with operational managers to keep them informed, with serious performance issues escalated to the designated manager
    • Provide tailored operational coaching support, in order to drive and support the achievement of operational KPI’s, evidencing value added to the operation
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions delivered in your segment, highlighting where there has been return on investment and/or value added, learning’s for future solutions
    • Maintain an up to date personal development plan, including a current, detailed knowledge of L&D methodology and practices
    • Extensive experience in dealing with setas
    • Matric essential
    • 3 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Experience in dealing with setas (non-negotiable)
    • Operational contact centre or volume customer service environment, desirable.
