  • LEASING/LEGAL ADMINISTRATOR
    The core purpose of this role is to assist the Head of Leasing/Legal and run an efficient administration function within the Property Legal division.
    DUTIES, include but are not limited to:
    1. Assist and report to Head of Leasing/Legal in respect of all leasing/legal matters;
    2. Screening of new Tenants:
    • Obtain all FICA documentation as is required by law and in terms of company policies and procedures;
    • Obtain the necessary consent and Conduct Credit Checks on potential Tenants;
    3. Draft and prepare:
    Offers to Lease, Agreements of Lease, Cancellations, amendments, addendums, renewals and suretyships under supervision of Head of Leasing/Legal.
    4. Manage upcoming lease renewals and commencement of renewal process with the Head of Leasing/Legal.
    5. Collect security deposits/bank guarantees, maintain deposit schedule and Request tenants’ refunds where necessary.
    6. Coordinate leasing administration functions:
    • Ensure that Leases are loaded accurately and are complete;
    • Ensure that Leases are loaded in terms of approved systems and procedures;
    • Documentation complete and signed by appropriate personal, tenants and witnesses;
    • Changes/Amendments accurate and complete.
    7. Keeping lines of communication open between landlords and tenants.
    8. Maintenance of tenant database – contact details, FICA documents etc.
    9. Assist with debtors:
    • Send correspondence/letters of demand to debtors in terms of Agreements of Lease;
    10. Data Management:
    • Data management, including filing and retrieving documents, backups
    • Keep and maintain record of all correspondence, legal agreements, offers to lease, COC’c, FICA documents etc.;
    • Complete required records and reports and maintain files.
    11. AD HOC:
    • Assist with lease audits;
    • Complete special projects as assigned.
    • Taking and filing minutes of meetings if required;
    • Any other ad-hoc administration for the Leasing/Legal Department.
    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
    1. 2- 3 yrs. – Leasing/Legal administrative experience;
    2. Related Leasing/Legal Diploma;
    3. Thorough knowledge of contracts, leasing and legal requirements;
    4. Must be able to read, write and speak English and Afrikaans fluently;
    5. Must be fully computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook);
    6. Only South African citizens;
    7. Clear ITC and criminal record;
    8. Own car & valid drivers.

    Salary: R15,000.00 per month
