  • Job Title: Lodge Anchor
    Location: Kwa-Zulu Natal
    Salary: R6 500 – R8 000 p/m (negotiable) depending on experience CTC
    Starting date: ASAP
    Admin/Reception/Lodge Anchor
    The successful candidate should have an enquiring mind, be methodical, and pay attention to detail, be creative, and show perseverance and patience, ability to work under pressure, ability to accept routine and mundane tasks, have high energy level, and be flexible, ability to overcome obstacles and persist with the task at hand, be decisive and adaptable.
    • After Probation period of 3 months - Cost to Company Medical Contribution R500 per month, Provident Fund Contribution of 5% from employer & 3.5% from employee
    • Work Schedule – 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off
    • Laundry, meals on duty, housekeeping, Accommodation
    Key Outputs:
    • Food & Beverage Management
    • Stock taking & assisting the kitchen with menu’s and ordering & standard control
    • Providing Guest delights – through dining room, housekeeping & special events
    • Reservations – bookings are done at Head Office, therefore Lodge just to update board, communicate information to the staff, prepare day sheet, check invoices being prepared by Reception Staff, Supervise and Assist with check in & check out
    • Reception/Fin Admin - Cashbook Entries (petty cash, supplier invoices/accounts, guest invoices/accounts) Candidate must understand the difference between a debtor & creditor
    • HR Admin – Payroll, Time Sheets, Staff Files.(Payroll does entail checking all staff accounts (bar, shop, spa, tips) before this can be finalised
    • General Duties – Communicating with Housekeeping on bookings information, Check rooms, Hosting duties, Evening & Early Morning Rotation of Duty Manager shifts over & above daily role
    • Good General Knowledge of repairs & Maintenance as well as a general Back of house (generator, water works, vehicles etc.)
    Knowledge Required:
    • PDP & driver’s license
    • At least 6 to 10 years’ relevant experience in the industry, 4/5 years as Management level Duty Manager, FOH Manager Etc.
    • Luxury lodge experience an advantage
    • Computer Literate excel, word
    • Understanding how to manage a dynamic team
    • Only South African Residents
    This lodge is very remote and the existence at the lodge could be lonely. All other staff at the lodge is local. Be prepared to work off the beaten track.
