  • Staff Connection is currently looking for a Maintenance Manager for a 4 star hotel in the Hatfield area to be responsible for assisting with
    managing the on-site operations of all maintenance department functions including the establishment and maintaining of a preventative maintenance strategy as per the company requirements including gardens and grounds, Health and Safety functions and plant and machinery areas as assigned under the Act.
    Minimum of a N3 diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification in airconditioning and refrigeration.
    2 Years experience in the field of electrical installation and maintenance or air-conditioning and refrigeration.
    Wireman’s license preferable.
    Minimum of 3 years experience in a hotel, time share unit or similar environment, in a similar position.
    Fluent in English
    Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
    Strong Management skills to ensure smooth and uninterrupted running of the department and work force.
    Experience working in preferably a 4* Hotel as an Assistant Maintenance Manager
    All round skills in building, tiling, plumbing, & carpentry.
    Hands on management style is required.
    Ability and willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
    A motivated self starter who works independently.
    Proficient in written and verbal communication.
    Sober habits.
    Problem solving skills.
    Must be able to perform under pressure.
    Assisting with the daily management of the Maintenance department servicing the property.
    Assisting with project managing the maintenance employees to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency in the department.
    Assisting in project managing special projects/developments/alterations as identified from time to time in the property.
    Managing all staff related issues in the department, with the assistance of the Maintenance Department.
    Liaising with all owners regarding maintenance requirements in apartments/retail outlets etc.
    Keeping and maintaining accurate records of jobs performed and invoicing if required
    Liaising with all other departments.
    Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
    Training and development of staff and students.
    Quality control of work performed in the property as well as public and back of house areas.
    To perform extra responsibilities outside the normal sphere of daily duties and working overtime when necessary.
    To take control of the maintenance department in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
    Represent the department in management meetings when needed.
    Assist with the formulation of the departmental budget and financial reporting
