    Job Description
    Iron Ore Mine, situated approximately 7 kilometers west of Postmasburg in the Northern Cape is looking for a Maintenance Planner.
    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
    •Grade 12/N3;
    •Trade test as an Artisan;
    • N4 certificate in Engineering Studies;
    •Certificate in Maintenance management will serve as an added advantage;
    •Minimum of five (5) years experience as Artisan or Planner;
    •Minimum of two (2) years experience in EAMS;
    •Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience will serve as an added advantage;
    •Valid code B/EB driving license.
    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
    • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Projects;
    • System skills in discipline specific programs;
    •Knowledge of risk assessment as per work process;
    •Must have fault finding, problem solving, reporting, analytical, supervisory, communication, organising and planning skills;
    • Must have the ability to work accurately and detail consciously;
    •Knowledge of scheduling resources.
    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE, INTER ALIA:
    •Assist with the compilation and control of annual maintenance budgets;
    •Adhere to all applicable safety, health and environmental practices and procedures;
    •Support and assist with change initiatives;
    •Generate and implement team improvement ideas;
    •Supervise, develop and coach team members;
    •Develop and maintain productive relations with internal and external customers;
    •Schedule and monitor the execution of asset care activities;
    •Conduct and facilitate root cause analysis;
    • Update and maintain asset register;
    •Monitor and expedite the availability of spares and resources;
    •Assist in the planning of maintenance windows in coordinating the needs between operations and maintenance sections;
    • Provide timeouts, accurate and appropriate management information and reports;
    •Verify the accuracy of signed of work orders;
    • Ad hoc, any other reasonable duties as and when requested from time to time.
