    Manager: Organisational Development (specialising in training) - Medical Scheme - Pretoria
    To support the Senior Manager Corporate Services in Training and Developmental needs, to drive training initiatives and identify and arranges training solutions for employees.
    This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate,
    enhance performance and recognize performance, design and maintain systems and processes for performance management, job evaluation, organisation structure design and organisational
    change. In designing and obtaining organisational Governance structure’s approval for a best practice organisational performance management system.
    Effective implementation of business process mapping programmes
    The Manager: Organisational Development will provide support to the Senior Manager through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):
     Training and development
     Talent Management
     Organisational Development
     Performance Management
    Training and Development
     Development and assessment of training courses aligned to business requirements
     Development of a staff skills and knowledge database in order to maximise the diverse talents of the Scheme.
     Conduct skills audit and training needs analysis.
     Responsible for the organisations job evaluation system, advising on job design, job descriptions and the correct grading of jobs.
     Compile all organisational competency reports, as well as training and development plan for the annual cycle. (WSP and ATR)
     Development of policies and procedures in collaboration with the Senior Manager.
     Manage the corporate induction programme.
     Create training strategies designed to promote stronger organizational culture and professional staff engagement
     Oversee the annual appraisal process, monitoring compliance with the timetable and working with the Senior Manager to ensure consistency of quality in appraisal documentation.
    Talent Management
     Ensure tools and metrics are designed and utilized to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition and talent development programs in support of a full cycle recruitment and professional development and growth
     Responsible for reward and recognition programme.
     Ensure retention frameworks are implemented.
     Conduct employee perceptions surveys to retain and attract talent
    Organisational Development
     Contribute research, analysis and ideas to the development of the organisations HR strategy in order to ensure that organisational development initiatives are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic and business goals.
     Provide advice to Scheme on the development of organisational design frameworks and instruments within norms and standards
     Co-ordinate Scheme’s organisational design submissions and comply with organisation’s structure and job evaluation frameworks.
     Ensure effective implementation of business process mapping programmes
     Design and deliver OD and change management strategies, processes and interventions that support the Scheme’s values; to include initiatives which foster a high performance culture, where valuing learning, continuous improvement and diversity are the norm.
     Manage additional internal or external resources as and when required in order to ensure cost-effective delivery of agreed OD initiatives.
     Partner with Human Resources to drive change towards a participative, engaging and strong ownership workplace culture.
    Performance Management
     Develop the Scheme’s approach to talent management and succession planning and to coordinate the contributions of key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.
     Work with line managers on the design and delivery of appropriate and relevant Personal Development Plans for their staff; to co-ordinate and evaluate agreed internally delivered
    interventions and to ensure best use of the Scheme’s allocated budgets.
     Monitor implementation and ensure compliance to time frames and schedules by the Scheme.
     Develop coaching, mentoring and secondment schemes to support staff development and the achievement of Personal Development Plans.
     Facilitate the implementation of performance management programme
     Implement a personal development programme for succession plan candidates as determined through Succession Planning
     Identify opportunities for performance improvement through, for example, undertaking internal diagnosis, process/system reviews in order to understand barriers and possible solutions; conducting external research into good practice and new ideas.
     Support specific performance improvement initiatives, e.g. through the implementation of a new behavioural competency framework and 360 degree feedback process.
     Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or similar
     A postgraduate qualification would be advantageous
     Registration as an HR Professional with the South African Board for People Practice would be beneficial
     3 - 5 years’ relevant experience in a human resource management function
     At least 5 years in an Organisational Development position
     Ability to effectively deliver leadership, management, and/or function specific programs (course development and facilitation)
     Demonstrate the ability to make informed decisions based on data and statistics
     The ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethical behaviour.
     The ability to study and apply new information to the HR policies and practices
     Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships—Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
     Report Writing: Board Committees / EXCO / Board of Trustees
     Engagement with Stakeholders
     SDF / Assessor / Moderator – will be beneficial
