  • We are currently searching for an office assistant

    Candidate Duties/ Responsibilities:

    General office admin

    Getting quotes from suppliers

    Source new and current products at cost effective prices

    Cost saving and cost cutting initiatives

    Source alternative suppliers for common products to gain price benefit

    Stock forecasting

    Compile stock on hand reports

    Analyse sales and purchases to ensure correctness of stock on hand

    Placing orders with suppliers and following up on all orders placed

    Assist in stock takes

    Provide continuous feedback to the Purchasing officer

    Check pricing, products ordered, quantities and correct barcodes used.

    Excellent ability to motivate others to deliver their tasks in a timeous manner

    Candidate Minimum Requirements:

    Must have strong knowledge of written and spoken English language

    Eloquent when writing emails and preparing quotes

    Strong Administration and computer skills

    Organisational astuteness

    Ability to manage processes

    Process improvement abilities

    Excellent Reporting skills

    Good client relationship skills

    Strong mathematical abilities and attention to detail

    Multitask and ability to work under pressure

    Good communication skill and bilingual

    Previous experience in an office environment, in a similar position, is essential

    Strong attention to detail

    Solutions-oriented, can-do attitude, self-motivated


    Previous experience in purchasing would be an advantage

    Strong work ethic
