    Looking for an Operations Manager for Tour Company in Southern suburbs to be responsible for preparing a budget, as well as overseeing the creation and preparation of market reports.
    Experience in one of the following:
    • Operational procedures, strong administration and follows the set structure
    • Customer Relationship Manager to increase sales activities, more tailor made, smaller agents but larger variety of clients. Travel agents and direct sellers, less loyalty and using platforms such as WETU and ALL ACCESS.
    • Majority Sales focused for new product and market exploration, major growth after sufficient research and more of an entrepreneur spirit. Smaller team which can be grown with the results of efforts
    Commercially minded in overseeing the larger picture and the enforcer or protector of the company standards. A Team leader with good communication skills allowing the teams to feel motivated and supported. Able to work independently, confident in making decisions based on fact.
    Must ensure an interest is paid to the end user (travelling clients) in order to ensure goals and vision is focused to improving the experience of the traveller.
    Incorporate company procedures and policies in operations of the cell for which they are responsible
    Monitor and review project activities and ensure its completion within scheduled time and budget
    Manage business activities focusing on financial and strategic growth of organization
    Create new marketing strategies and monitor ROI measures on a yearly basis
    Build strong relationship with the customers in order to maintain good revenue growth
    Manage start-up costs and finances of the cell by efficient financial management
    Perform review and validation of system layouts and equipment requirements
    Create harmonious working environment, train and mentor staff and motivate all team members to perform efficiently
    Explore and analyse market trends and identify new opportunities in assigned region/markets
    Coordinate with marketing team to develop and implement operational plans for new product
    Work on requirements provided by senior management whenever required
    Perform Human Resources Management
    Perform Department Management
    Qualifications and experience:
    Min 10 years work experience in service industry
    Min 5 years in a management role of a department
    Experience working in travel & tourism industry (preferable incoming agency) in a managerial position
    Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office
    Tour Plan experience preferred
    A flexible negotiator with good communication skills - Goal driven, Team leadership with systematic approach to problem solving
    Added advantage of a special skill to look beyond the operational requirements which is able to look forward in vision
