  • International Capital Equipment/ Materials handling company now seeks an Operations assistant.
     
    The Operations Assistant role forms part of the strategy for the Equipment business and will report into senior stakeholders within the business.
     
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
     
    Provide leadership and direction to the business in all areas of responsibility across Sales, Services and equipment.
    Aid in overseeing the overall activities of the business. The Operations assistant will work closely with the Operations Manager and Services Manager to ensure that customer orders are received, scheduled, and maintained at a level that meets and exceeds the customers' requirements, while maintaining corporate established quality standards.
    Assist technical support staff on resolution of customer complaints and issues of product quality.
    Responsible and accountable for divisions quality compliance, inventory control, efficiencies �€� with respect to labor, operational budget, and profit and loss statements..
    You will supervise a team of technicians.
    You must be able to help the Ops manager in structuring the technical training department and oversee that training is done as per the plan..
    Communicate a clear vision and direction, and gain support from key stakeholders.
    Build a strong operations community through constant communication, recognition and coaching of technicians, supervisors, and managers.
     
    EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:
     
    Proven track record of successful operational and management experience in the industrial or engineering environment.
    Bachelor's degree in engineering
    Thorough understanding of regulatory laws and responsibilities as they pertain to the industry
    Only candidates with a technical qualification (electrical or mechanical) will be considered.
    You must be able to supervise a team of technicians and be able to oversee the contracts managers�€� team.
    You must be able to help the Ops manager in structuring the technical training department and oversee that training is done as per the plan.
