  • EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Relevant HR qualification EXPERIENCE A
    minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role Inherent requirements of
    the position: Strong attention to detail and great level of accuracy Ability to
    cope in a highly pressurized environment Critical Analyses and problemsolving
    thinking Ability to function independently Ability to monitor and
    evaluate results and take steps to increase efficiency Excellent problemsolving
    skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and
    interpersonal skills Highly competent and proficient in MS Office is essential
    Proven ability to meet deadlines and produce work of a high quality and
    accuracy Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship. Indepth
    knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing Basic
    Human Resource foundation Proficiency in Pastel Payroll. Proficiency in the
    Pastel HR module will be a significant advantage Ability to liaise
    professionally with personnel at all levels Understanding of the Basic
    Conditions of Employment Act, employee’s taxes Valid drivers’ licence and
    own reliable vehicle would be advantageous Duties and Responsibilities
    include but not limited to: Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate,
    compliant and timely manner, while meeting operational requirements
    Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements Compile
    data from payroll sources Assist with preparation of relevant weekly, monthly,
    quarterly and year-end reports Assist with the accurate processing of staff
    appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations Ensure all payroll
    information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory
    requirements Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
    Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production Processing of
    leave Ensuring all pay related queries are dealt with promptly Assist with the
    reconciliation & submission process of mid-year & tax year ends to the
    relevant tax authorities Monitor compliance with relevant policies and
    statutory requirements Assist Payroll and HR Officer with statutory reporting
    Assist with various HR related projects
