  • Responsibilities

    The main responsibility for the Payroll Manager is to take up full responsibility for the execution and monthly payroll.
    Reporting to the Head of Finance
    Ensuring that the group complies with all legal and regulatory requirements and manages risk profile and compliance with company policies and procedures
    The development and implementation of payroll systems, policies and procedures
    The management and administration of payroll reporting system,payroll budget preparation and reporting processes
    The administration of the in-house audit finding database relevant to the payroll
    Statutory reporting
    ensuring that the EMP 201 for submission to SARS is done
    ensuring SARS that the annual and interim reports to be submitted on time as required by SARS is done,
    ensuring that the IRP5's for all staff is done and distributed on time for deadlines
    ensuring that the COIDA annual report is done,  ensuring that all UIF registration for new staff has been done timeously
    assisting with BBBEE reporting
    Ensuring the successful and timeous rollout of payroll projects
    Ensuring that all payroll changes received from HR are captured on VIP timeously, all staff personal details are updated timeously, all travel claims are uploaded into VIP and authorise manual payments when and if necessary
    Monthly salary and variance reporting to the Head of Department
    Authorising the cash requirement reports which needs to be sent at least 2 days prior to the salaries transfer due date.
    Confirming that pay slips are distributed before payment date to all concerned.
    Ensuring all salary reporting journals are done timeously
    Ensure that all Ad-hoc reports as required by management is send to them on request
    Authorising the uploaded salaries and other payments on Nedbank business
    Authorising the reconciling 3rd party payments including garnishee Authorising the reconciliation of Medical Aid, Provident Fund and Group Life/PHI before payment.
