  • We are currently recruiting Power Sector Leads and Project Managers for a number of NGOs in Africa.
    Key profiles that we are looking for
    • Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience working in power and energy projects in senior management / advisory / strategic positions in sub-Saharan Africa
    • Deep understanding of power sector markets and reform including pricing, regulation, policy, procurement; trading, public private partnership models
    • Proven track record implementing successful institutional capacity building in national power sector
    • Proven track record managing international teams of power sector specialists
    • Established relationships with relevant Ugandan government stakeholders is advantageous
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • Fluent in English
    Other skills that are a nice to have:
    Experience overseeing reform programmes in some or all of the following spheres
    • Sector reform planning and roadmap development
    • Utilities restructuring & organisational reform
    • Transactional support for IPP and PPP transaction across the power value chain
    • Power procurement and system planning
    • Improving the investment environment across power value chain
    • Electricity market operation
    • Regulatory capacity building and organisational turn-around
    • Tariff analysis, modelling and setting
    • Access to energy in peri-urban areas
    • Strong understanding of the interconnection between the cities and power components of CIG
    • Development of Energy Access and Rural Electrification Programmes?
