    The purpose of this role is to plan, co-ordinate, supervise and control all Coaling related activities.
    Minimum Qualifications:
     Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
     Opencast Blasting Certificate.
     Computer proficiency on MS Office and SAP.
     Driver’s license (Code EB /08).
    Minimum Experience:
     3 Years’ experience in an opencast coal mining & drill and blast environment.
     Experience in Supervising Coaling Equipment e.g. Hitachi 2500, FEL993, dump truck, waterbowser and diesel trucks.
    Behavioural Competencies:
     Ability to maintain productivity and multi-task to produce output.
     Ability to be target focused and meets deadlines; is punctual and keeps to schedule; and is reliable in finishing tasks.
     Ability to lead, coordinate and direct groups.
     Ability to manage tasks by being organized, plan activities systematically and sets priorities for tasks.
     Is determined and decides on actions, willingly assumes responsibility, is definitive and stands by own decisions.
     Ability to follow procedures by closely following instructions and adhering to rules.
    The successful candidate must be in possession of a valid certificate of fitness or be fit enough to obtain one prior to commencement in this role as this is a requirement of the Mine Health & Safety Act.
    The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
     Monitoring of all coaling related activities.
     Complying and co-ordinating Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
     Effectively utilising human and material resources.
     Ensuring that the mine’s procedures are enforced and adhered to.
     Meeting legal, safety and production targets.
     Leading and motivating a productive team.
