  • Providing direction to Procurement staff for all business issues.
    Ensuring appropriate resources and tools are available to support the procurement organization.
    Aligning the goals of the purchasing department with the companies' vision.
    Developing & implementing policies and procedures for the purchasing department (to meet ISO requirements)
    Developing and driving sourcing and risk strategies by analysing the spend portfolio for assigned categories based on spend, strategic importance and opportunity for value delivery across the organization.
    Driving cross-functional support to meet targets.
    Ensuring cross-functional respect is maintained and managed to achieve goals in a cohesive manner.
    Supporting and driving the NPL process.
    Leading and managing the simplification of processes.
    Managing major strategic negotiations according to Framework approval & ensuring benefits are realized.
    Evaluating negotiation outcomes and identifying trends and impact.
    Managing appropriate negotiation strategies with stakeholder input.
    Negotiating and managing rebates with selected “A” suppliers.
    Establishing budget prices for packaging and raw materials for the new budget period.
    Compiling monthly cost management reports.
    Identifying cost reduction and value improvements on a continuous basis to achieve cost reduction targets.
    Attending international trade shows.
    Requirements:
    Diploma / degree in material management / procurement.
    Minimum 10 years' experience with 5 years at managerial level.
    Previous FMCG experience - cosmetic or personal care.
    Previous experience with raw materials and packaging.
    Negotiation, technical and leadership skills.
    Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
