RESTAURANT FLOOR MANAGER - Franschhoek

Our client, an upmarket Asian-themed restaurant in Franschhoek, is looking to employ an enthusiastic Floor Manager in developing and maintaining an exceptional level of service. The ideal individual is highly customer and service -focused and has a good understanding of restaurant operations.

This is an exciting career building opportunity for a young, energetic, self-motivated individual, who is detail orientated, calm and able to perform under pressure, to develop their skills in a well-controlled high-volume restaurant operation.

A pre-requisite is that the individuals resides in the Winelands area.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience as a floor manager / restaurant supervisor is essential

• Own Transport

• Excellent communication skills

• Basic computer skills

• Fluent in written and spoken English

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Customer Engagement:

• Manage reservations

• Offer an exceptional food and wine experience

• Ensure that waiters are knowledgeable and understand the food offering.

Staff Management:

• Ensure staffs’ appearance adheres to company standards

• Ensure the look, feel and hygiene of the restaurant adheres to company standards

• Lead by example and in doing so, adheres to the company rules and regulations

• Communicates effectively

• Values and respects staff’s input

• Encourages and supports teamwork

Stock Control and Business Management:

• Accurate restaurant bar stock control

• Reconcile daily cash ups

• Process invoices

• Complete and maintain daily reports to management

• 1 year of experience
• Language(s): Afrikaans ,English
