  • RETAIL SYSTEMS CONSULTANT – DURBAN
    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
    To Train, Upgrade, Maintain and Support Company approved IT Software Systems at Retail and to provide expert guidance on the use of Company Systems to Retailers.
    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
    • Attend to and resolve/manage all IT queries at store
    • Attend to System Upgrades, rollouts and store openings.
    • Manage the IT scanning and SIGMA systems conversion projects
    • Provide classroom training
    • Co-ordinate Systems training (DC & Retail) in line with Skills Legislation and Company Academy requirements.
    • Deliver Systems Training to both DC and Retail Users, including Store Management.
    • Develop skills and competencies in the application and utilization of Company Retail Systems.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and implement improvements.
    • Develop and ensure update of all training material.
    • Market and advertise training courses & schedules.
    • Provide advice and guidance to store Owners/Managers in regard to Systems training
    • Ensure updated and accurate Training Reports, Certificates, etc.
    • Analysis of store operations on systems to ensure stores get optimal results
    • Implement and monitor systems and control checklist at Retail
    • Guide, encourage and assist retailers to make use of their IT Systems
    • Ensure required administrative duties are performed
    • Manage all IT related Project work at Retail
    • Complete system audits and development plans at store level
    • Implement and maintain existing and new system standards at Retail
    PERSON SPECIFICATION
    • Matric
    • Project Management / Training Skills Advantageous
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
    • Ability to travel long distances and spend time away from home
    • Willing to work after hours and weekends when required
    • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Good FMCG Retail business knowledge advantageous
    • Excellent knowledge of Company Retail Systems
    • At least 2-3 years’ experience as a Retail Systems Administrator or field service supporter
    • Retail store Sigma experience advantageous
    • Hardware and software infrastructure implementation and maintenance skills advantageous
    • Ability able to work unsupervised
    • Good Analytical & Decision Making Skills
    • Ability to perform change management
    • Pastel accounting / Easy ACC experience advantageous
