Senior Business Analyst based in Cape Town
o Carrying out background research and present findings
o Producing documents, briefing papers, compiling reports and presentations
o Taking on some of the manager's responsibilities and working more closely with management
o Being involved in decision-making processes
o Business task and workflow analysis and design
o Liaise with all other departments from Development/Operations/Finance/IT/Call Centre/Compliance etc. to ensure smooth operations and project delivery of the business.
o Understanding the development requirements for architecting & building integration points with external API’s and ViaMedi system.
o Assisting internal or external teams with mobile sites, mobile and native applications and software component development – product and technical scoping and project management.
o Maintain a detailed record of technical functional requirements for new Projects.
o Ability to build and track product backlog and plan work with product teams.
o Assist Project manager or Scrum master with Sprint planning
o Investigate, evaluate, design and propose solutions to address business requirements
o Collaborate with Software Developers in developing, testing and deploying business solutions
o Act as interface between the business and software development team to ensure that the business requirements are delivered in the implemented solution
o Requirements gathering
o Compile requirements documentation and business cases
o Compile user stories
o JAD sessions
o Implementation Planning
o Product/ Backlog grooming
o Attend all scrum ceremonies
Education & Qualification:
o Relevant 3 year National Diploma or Degree, preferably in a business or IT related field
o FTI Business Analysis Diploma will be advantageous
o Agile training certifications like CSM or CSPO will be advantageous
o 5 years + Business Analyst experience
o Experience writing technical scope documents (FRS, Acceptance Criteria, Business Cases)
o Experience in planning a Sprint and preparing the user stories with Acceptance Criteria
o Exposure to the full software life cycle
o Software and integrations architecture experience
o Experience understanding high performance, scalable, reliable applications
o Proven experience meeting deadlines
o Proven systems analysis experience
