This team has a great job opportunity for a Senior Manager: Testing and Transition to join their team in Johannesburg. You will be accountable for all aspects of the end-to-end testing and release/transition process. These responsibilities include active involvement in the planning, design, build configuration, testing, transition and deployment of all hardware and software to create a release package

    Your key job responsibilities as the Senior Manager: Testing and Transition in Johannesburg:

    - Implement and manage an appropriate programme testing control framework so that each OPCO Test Manager follows a standard methodology and governance process and captures and records defects in a consistent manner
    - Drive efficiencies within the Testing domain, leveraging global best practices, modern testing tools, and driving testing automation
    - Identify suitable teams and secure resource availability with individual OPCOs
    - Drive the definition of a programme delivery strategy and roadmap for all Testing of OPCO Deploys, Functional Fast Tracks and Business as Usual releases
    - Implement and manage an appropriate programme release management framework so that all OPCO Release/Transition and Operations Teams follows a standard methodology and governance process
    - Develop and manage common strategies for release governance across multiple portfolios
    - Manage release package acceptance including business and operations sign off
    - Manage deploy planning including method of deployment

    Requirements for this Senior Manager: Testing and Transition job in Johannesburg:

    - A relevant Post Graduate Degree or equivalent experience is required
    ITILv3 or higher
    - Minimum 10+ years’ consistent work experience covering similar functions in multinational telecommunication companies
    - 5+ years’ managerial exposure in testing and transition/release management
    - Experience with the delivery of Enterprise Transformation Programmes with global or multinational projects/programmes
    - Demonstrated experience in enterprise testing across all phases within the software delivery life cycle (SIT, UAT, Automation, Non-Functional Testing, Data Migration) as part of large-scale transformations programmes
    - An excellent understanding of modern testing practices
    - Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain strategic working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization
    - Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills using critical and innovative thinking
    - Exposure to & understanding of Cloud technology
    - Tools Management (Microfocus Suite of Applications, Next Generation Testing Tools)
    - Vendor Management
