Duties & Responsibilities

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Managerial responsibility with specific focus on cost control of projects

Duties:

• Projections and assessments of possible projects.

• Ensure the preparation of BoQ’s for Tenders and Variation Orders and if necessary, measuring and take-off of drawings.

• Ensure that quotations from suppliers and contractors are obtained and adjudicated.

• Taking a lead role in engaging with the client and other consultants during all project stages.

• Ensure that material estimates are prepared and that production budgets are drafted.

• Advise on cost and contractual requirements and prepare contract documents.

• Responsible for the preparation of claims submitting invoices and follow-up on the timely payment thereof.

• Leading the cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all the above accountabilities.

• Ensure that monthly reports are compiled.

• Ensure that final accounts are prepared and approved

• Minimum education level: Grade 12 /N4 (Matric)
• 2 years of experience
• Availability to travel: No
• Availability of change of residence: No
