  • accounting and financial reporting function of property and investment holding companies.
    Salary: Market Related
    Location: Cape Town CBD
    Key Performance Areas:
    Full Accounting function for multiple entities, including:
    • Drive monthly GL, Creditors, Debtors, and Cashbook processing to TB for various entities
    • Load weekly and monthly payments on various banking platforms
    • prepare property cost schedules for monthly payments on various banking platforms
    • Prepare property cost schedules for monthly tenant recharges
    • Prepare rental and recharge invoices to tenant recharges
    • Maintain lease schedules
    • Ensure all entries are accurately captured in the GL within reporting deadlines
    • Ensure preparation & review of all GL reconciliations within reporting deadlines
    • Identify and correct any accounts processing deficiencies
    • Intercompany invoicing and loan schedule preparation
    • Preparation of management reporting within reporting deadlines
    • Preparation/review of applicable schedules ancillary to the reports
    • Investigate and report back on findings from monthly reporting
    • Accounts receivable management (daily reporting & corrective action)
    • Prepare GL's , TB's and supporting schedules for audit and address audit queries
    • Cash flow management (daily reporting, weekly planning & optimisation)
    • Address tenant queries
    • Ensure regulatory compliance through timely FICA submissions
    • Calculate, prepare and submit provisional and annual income tax returns for companies and individuals
    • Maintain fixed asset registers
    • Ensure timely preparation and review of VAT and PAYE calculations, reconciliations, submissions and payments
    • Prepare and process monthly payroll
    • Working knowledge of IFRS , ability to apply accounting framework and principles
    • Working knowledge of Income tax and VAT legislation
    • Advanced competency in MS Excel
    • Experience in Pastel Evolution
    • Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Analytical thinker and problem solver
    • Proactive, responsive and deadline driven
    • BCOM Accounting or similar qualification
    • 3 years' experience in an accounting environment
