  • Requirements:
    • Grade 12 / Matric, Qualification in Waste Management / Hazmat is preferred.
    • 3-5 years warehouse supervisory experience is essential.
    • Code 14 driver’s license.
    • Computer literacy, MS Office would be an advantage

    Job Description:
    • Lead team according to operating principals to achieve department objectives in terms of speed, quality, cost, people and health & safety.
    • Ensure employee relations are effectively managed in the warehouse.
    • Ensure a competent team by training (on-the-job / formal training) and coaching workers.
    • Assisting team when and where required performance management is applied effectively.
    • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
    • Assist in maintaining the department skills matrix to reflect competency level of department and to initiate training requirements.
    • Responsible for all Job Function of the Import and Outsource receiving Job Functions and ensure SOPs are followed.
    • Ensure all stock returns are managed recorded back into the system and packed away
    • Ensure Cycle counts are done in accordance with requirements
    • Ensure weekly bin counts are done accurately and correction are done.
    • Check daily the bin location accuracy, all entries done by Internal and External receiving personnel including shift drivers
    • Arrange and manage all formal stock counts during the year
    • Ensure correct stock take procedures are followed
    • Apply good management processes
    • Ensure that isles are clean and washed every week.
    • Ensure no damaged cartons. If any, ensure that the cartons are re-packed
    • Ensure that there are no leaning stacks.
    • Ensure all protecting plates for stacks are in place.
    • Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
    • Plan future capacity requirements
    • Ensure all drivers have valid licenses ie. Statutory compliance to OSH Act at all times.
