As the Supply Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
�€� Collaborate, network and build strong relationships with the Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Demand, Finance and IT Teams to facilitate the supply planning process.
�€� Design, implement and deploy locally relevant and globally-connected supply strategies to improve productivity, quality and efficiency through-out the supply chain to enable the delivery and improvement of customer satisfaction (internal and external.)
�€� Lead alignment and deployment of supply planning processes to Gyproc�€�s strategy.
�€� Coach people where necessary within the supply planning process.
Process Management and Improvement
�€� Apply continuous improvement principles to supply planning processes.
�€� Ensure supply planning processes are documented.
Analysis and Reporting
�€� Incite an attitude of accountability and adherence to published production plans by all stakeholders in the value chain through effective communication and monitoring of performance.
�€� Review holistic supply process to validate proven capacity, identify key bottle necks and devise most appropriate supply plan.
�€� Support IBP process through effective Supply Review Meetings.
�€� Devise action plans to manage conflicts between customer service, operational costs and inventory levels aligned with Gyproc�€�s strategy.
�€� Prepare rough cut capacity plan and master production schedules to meet required demand plan each month.
�€� Facilitate fortnightly supply point meetings with plants and ensure the detailed scheduling is adjusted based on the production output and demand variation.
�€� Co-ordinate materials availability and direct production planners on high level production schedule.
�€� Engage, present and gain agreement from relevant business stakeholders on supply plan.
�€� Facilitate monthly Supply Review Meetings to reconcile constrained and unconstrained plans with key stakeholders (Operations (Plants), Procurement, Logistics, Demand Planning).
�€� Actively promote planning and scheduling in the ERP system and manage stakeholders�€� behaviour to adhere to said plans in order to avoid unplanned production and procurement.
�€� Support new product introduction, new business/manufacturing or warehouse footprint change initiatives.
Ideally you will possess the following:
�€� Grade 12 or equivalent
�€� Supply Chain / Commercial Degree or equivalent such as SAPICS accreditations
�€� 5-7 years experience in supply planning
�€� Strong analytical skills combined with exceptional business acumen.
�€� SAP experience would be advantageous, or experience in ERP and Advanced Planning and Scheduling systems.
�€� Computer Literacy (specifically advanced MS Office: Excel - important.)
�€� Presentation skills (proficient advanced MS office: Powerpoint.)
�€� Exposure to business optimisation and business process reengineering/redesign.
�€� Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
�€� Knowledge of Supply Chain Management best practices such as Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Intergrated Business Planning (IBP), MRPII, Theory of Constraints.
